I live on Birch about half way down the street and my parent are in my house at this time. We are not able to go back b/c we have a small infant. They said the area has alot of damage. No flooding but everyone has roof damage and fence damage etc.from what is able to be seen. Just for instant I am told by my parents our house is missing a lot of shingles. There is a small hole in the roof. The eves of our home are peeled back and coming off. Our daughters window on the front of the house is largely cracked. Fence? what fence? (you get the point). The two corner columns are gone. (we have at least 5 more). At least we have a home. Just for all of you in the neighborhood, I thought you might want to know how the area looks. Good luck to all and God bless.

I live on Aspen, 2nd house from the end of the neighborhood. Is there anyway that your parents could take a look at my house to let me know the extent of the damages? My house has 4 large white columns across the front porch. Please let me know. I would really appreciate any news. Thanks.

My house has siding on the back of it, in the patio area. If at all possible, can that be checked?

I asked them and they said they would but I won't hear from them again until late tomorrow evening. There home in grandlake had 4-5 feet water in it and they are assessing it tomorrow. But they said they would definately check on your home.

Tucker, my sister lives on Aspen - Tina and Steve. A friend checked on their house and it is fine, just missing a turban on the roof - so probably some water damage from that. I know the house just past theirs and on the same side of the street is also fine - friend said there wasn't much major damage on the street except for the houses further down - two of the newest houses on the street. Sorry, I don't have addresses.

This is Sheryl Crador. I live next door to you Tucker. I was on the street for about 30 minutes yesterday to pack and back out headed to Houston. I know there looked to be a metal porch or something out in front of your house. Rick is there in LC and I will ask him for more detail and let you know, but it may be Wed a.m. before I'd have any info. I can tell you that on a pass, it didn't seem to be badly damaged, nothing stands out in my mind. Hope you two are okay!

Tucker,
Sheryl again. Talked to Rick a little while ago. He said you have a little fascia damage and lost a few shingles, very minimal though. Your a/c appears to have shifted off the pad but looks like it's still connected. He picked up your shingles out of the yard when he was cleaning up ours. We were both VERY lucky. Seeing the damage in LC up close and not just photos was unreal. Really from what we saw damage in Barbe Country was minimal compared to many areas where we saw sections of roofs missing, etc... You guys take care. Sheryl
