I talked to Jeff Davis Elec. this afternoon and they said that at the Police Jury meeting, they were going to discuss when they were going to start turning on power in Grand Chenier. Anyone have any info on that?

i spoke with my aunt, lady richard, on tuesday dec 6th,about the trailor park in grand chenier. it seems, she an my brother butch came in from houston the week before. they had to go to grand lake and then cameron to fill out papers to open the trailor park for campers. they then had to mark the spot in the trailor park, she will have about 50 spots. they have someone trying to cleanup the trailor park, but as you know its not easy. they ask her if there was any churches or stores within a 5 mile radious of the trailor park and as you know there were. emt has already spoken to my aunt about setting a trailor on her property at the front of the trailor park, they will be on generators. from what i understand debris is being picked up in grand chenier. she was told electricity would not be in grand chenier until april 2006. i have a problem with that. i know the lines are up and i understood that they wanted the business to get restarted. there are other businesses in grand chenier, crain brothers, emt's, bank, gas stations, wildflife and fisheries and i'm sure there's more. maybe someone can but a fire under someone to get the electricity turned on sooner. good luck. hope to seen everyone in grand chenier as well as the rest of cameron soon. elougia baccigalopi myers
