We are so tired of hearing about how the people in Houston are going to get home....we are in Arkansas TRYING to find out anything about LC, Westlake, and Sulphur.....none of these TV stations seem to care about us over here....but we are going to be patient....or try to be anyway.

i'm from sulphur currently in bossier city.....i heard sulphur has extensive tree damage and power lines down.....not too much flooding there...they showed pictures of ruth street on fox news....it looks horrible.....i don't know anything about my neighborhood....i live in old maplewood.....mayor came on and said he does not want anyone back till noon monday......he said tree damage was really bad ..curview has been issued from 6 AM till 6PM....there is no information on when power will be restored....i know last night we called our house till around 9:30 and that's when we had lost power....our answering maching wouldn't pick up......my nephew stayed at the plant at ppg....he said it was horrible.....he was scared to death....i saw some pictures of around the lake.....the water is high there...a. barge hit the 210 bridge and it's shut down......that's about all i really know.....mayor roach said trees are down every where.....if anyone knows anything about old maplewood eucalyptus street please let me know...that's where my house is

ahmen im in elderado arkansas and i feel the same way. texas officals have been on every 5 minutes gov blanco 2 times in about 12 hours. with no info about what l.c people should do or how we can stay away and still pay motel rooms or feed our kids. i want answers instead of ( blah blah blah)what can i do .me and my wife took upon our self to find out how to help ourselves and contacted our insurance company and learned that we can file a claim on our house as unknown damage .and get money for living expenses that pays $75 a day and $25 per day per person for food and 48 cents a mile for a mantory evaction parish.also i heard red cross offreing money to evacs for food &clothes un confimed on red cross yet.well i hpe this info helps someone because blanco or our govt want tell us nothing about feeding our family or how we can rebuild our lives after this or how they intend to help us now instead of some family recovery plan that none has never heard of and that they havent told to much info about . well i hope blanco can rember this and all la officals (WE PAY YOUR SALARY AND IF WE CANT GET BACK ON OUR FEET QUICKLY WE CANT PAY YOU NOTHING AND WE BECOMES VICTIMS NOT ONLY TO RITA BUT ALSO TO THE GOVT AND TAXPAYERS WHO WILL HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF US FOR A LONG TIME )GET OFF YOUR BUTS TAKE CARE OF US AND LET US GET BACK TO PAYING TAXES LIKE GOOD OLD BLUE COLLAR WOKERS SO YOU CAN LIVE IN YOUR MANSIONS AND DRIVE YOUR SUV AND SPEND ALL OUR TAX PAYER MONEY JUST ON YOU!

Hello chrissie, I'm so sorry about everything you & your family are going thru. My parents & other family members live in Lake Charles & surrounding areas. Just to let you know you are not the only one's aggravated about all that's going on. I do not live in L.C. anymore, been away for 13 yrs. I live in the state of Iowa.I am from L.C. & I miss my family a lot. We are all praying for you & all the people that were in the last 2 hurricanes. GOD loves you & so do we. We pray for you all & about the different situations Y'all are in. GOD will take care of y'all, have faith & hope. I have learned that GOD test us allin all situations & believe me I have been tested a lot in the last 5 yrs. My Daddy(we are very close), is dying of Congestive Heart Failure, every time I talk to him & Mom, he is weaker & gets more tired & he can't do anything because he is so weak. I thank GOD every day that my daughter has a home in Shreveport - that's where my parents stayed & some of my other relatives. There were 10 people & 7 or 8 dogs in her house. She brought my Parents home last Monday & they were so glad to be home. We, at our Church here in Ankeny, Ia. lift you all up to GOD in Prayer. Y'all take care. Have a blessed day. Have faith in GOD.
