Talked with my aunt( Lady Richard) yesterday and she has hired some wokers to clean up the trailor park in Grand Chenier. I'm not sure how far they have gotten, but she is planning to run water lines this weekend. I also spoke with my cousin (Margarette Little) and she has moved a camper on her property in Grand Chenier, and they moved in this past weekend. I believe she has gotten her school bus route moved to Grand Chenier also. Mom and Dad (Whitney and Lorine Baccigalopi) are still in Iowa, Daddy's waiting on a part for the tractor to help with their property cleanup. Went to mass on New Years Day and I understand that the priest is planning to have mass every Sunday. Grand Chenier is slowly moving farward. Keep up the good work. Hope to see all of you soon. EBM
Went to Grand Chenier today and saw a lot of people at the 10 oclock mass at St. Eugene's Church. The Diocesse still wants to close this church, even thou the parishioners are against it. I understand many thanks goes to a church in Grand Lake that help to enclose the walls of the church. The church does have electricity. The church cemetary has been cleaned up. Grand Chenier is starting to take on a new look. Everyone is trying to move forward. My sister Kathy has received her fema trailor and it is set up in East Creole where she had lived. Mom and Dad are in line for a trailor. Good Luck to all from Cameron Parish, my prayers are with all of you. ebm
