All land owners come vote. They want to change Holly Beach , name to Little Destin. Plus they want to stop RV Parks and campers and trailers from coming to Holly Beach. ( THEY ) Are the Millers, Mr. Bull, Ernie Broussard and Tina Horn. Plus a few others who are rebuilding expensive Houses and camps. They don't want any RV Parks or campers in Holly Beach and want to change the name to Little Destin. So Please , Please all come . Come vote to save Holly Beach, Save the name. Come vote to allow RV PARKS and campers and trailers. Don't let them take our Holly Beach away. Please bring your own chairs.

It would wise to bring proof of ownership to meeting.

Hi Handyman I contacted the Cameron Piolet.
He called me back said he contacted someone with the jury and that person now says they will publicly announce this meeting in the piolet with in a week or two. So say it was not going to be a hidden meeting . Well, Lets see we know right now the meeting is for October 28th at 4:00 PM on a Saturday in Holly Beach at the boat shed. Lets see sense they now have to make it public if the date and time and place will stay the same. Yes bring your own chairs and if your a land owner bring prof of ownership papers.

I heard an anouncement on TV 10 this evening.
They anounced this October 28TH meeting in Holly Beach. But said its to discuss the sewage. They never said anything about trying to change the Holly Beach name or anything about not allowing campers ,RVparks or trailers. My guess is if you want to be sure best come to the meeting. I'm sure sewage will be talked about. But I'm also sure at what my source told me about the name change and trying to stop campers , RV parks and trailers. Is true also. So again if you planing on coming , come. Lets really see what this meeting is all about on October 28TH.

Good Morning: The Kaplan Herald on October 25, 2006 will feature a front page story about Holly Beach. Also my niece from Baton Rouge has a article I need to read in one of their local newspapers. the news is spreading and we may have a large number attend ops!!!! Have a blessed day

Hi everyone! I read today in the Pilot that they will be forming "the Holly Beach Homeowners association." Exactly what does that mean? Does it mean that we have to abide by whatever new rules they want? Holly Beach never had that before, I don't believe we really need that, even if it does make our property value go up. I was hoping the meeting would be more about helping us with less than four lots, to be able to return. If it turns into a homeowners association will it be longer for the community sewer to be developed? And will they have the right to stop rv's and trailer once they for this association. I have a bad feeling about that. stay safe and have a blessed day, ya'll.

Mborel, See thats why people really need to come to this meeting . Let your voices be heard. If everyone just sits back and let them do what they want and not speak up . Holly Beach will not be Holly Beach as we knew it. It will be a long fight. But if you and others want Holly Beach to remain as it was before Rita we really need to push our opinions out there. Not let them keep playing these games. Enough is enough. We all want to come back . I for one want to go back and have the right to do what I want on my property that I pay taxes on . this after all is America. Home and land of the free right. Well come on guys and gals lets keep it that way. Come to this meeting show them we won't take all these changes sitting down.

:I hope every thing works out for the Road home program to the residents of holly beach. The new commers don't know what homeless means. But what goes arround comes arround if you know what I mean.. They need to worry about the coast before the highrisers to beable to stand tall also the filth on the beach sometimes I think we have a piece of paridise but really it looks like a dumping ground I still like holly beach for the people it use to house hardworking people making holly beach holly Beach and that is their home place for many years I hope all the rumors die down the only reason the big boys came to town was because the land was affordable for their pocket books and they want high dollar profits.
