Which Trahan group are you looking for... so many there. My cousins and uncle have been back: Damage to Head of the Hollow cemetery. Some houses totally gone... others severe damage... some not as bad but lots of mud and off their blocks... no water (even unpotable) available to clean with... cattle dying and some too traumatized to follow to food/water... They are letting residents back in for "look and leave".

Alton's daughter Judy, married to Dwight Erbelding... are related to me and are all fine. Talked with Dwight and Judy this morning and they are trying to patch their roof. Daughters are staying in Lafayette and Ruston with other sisters. Dwight and Judy are in Kaplan with in-laws. As far as the others... we are assuming all others are ok... haven't heard that anyone is hurt, missing. Don't know any specifics as of locale... Heard Smith Ridge is still under water as of yesterday... report from cousins who tried to get back there. Houses will probably be bad because water is still there. Damage to Head of the Hollow cemetery by Baptist church/school.

I assume both Dwight and Judy have been back... I know at least Dwight has and has been working on their house. I haven't heard if they are letting others than residents in. I think my aunt and grandmother are heading down from Florien this weekend, if they allow them in. Do you have Dwight's cell number? email me at taiji.carmichael@cox.net if you need it.
