Some information for Holly Beach Residents

Holly Beach Ditch Cleaning Project.

The Holly beach ditch cleaning project will begin after Labor Day.
The puropse of this is to (1) provide clean sloped ditches for drainage and (2) provide ditches for the community sewer system.
Culverts that are dug up willeventually be replaced. The 1St phase is to allow the contractor to clean a block in the subdivision and individuals to access there lot. Many of you do not have permanent structures on your lot, so the parish is requesting you to post your 911 address or your last name where you would like the access culvert placed , ( please have letters at least 4" tall)

Cementeddriveways will be tested for blockages. If there is a blockage that cannot be removed by the culvert cleaner , then the cement driveway will be removed. The parish will only be responsible for replacing and installing the culvert.

The parish road crew will be workingwith the contractor hauling sand to different parish sites in the subdivision. The parish will use this sand to install access culverts . If there is any extra sand ,after all culverts are installed, it will be made available to the washed out properties nearest to the gulf.
