is FEMA really giving out trailors for those in need. i came out with little damage to my appartment complex, but i have family members that lost almost everything and have nowheres to stay .. any one hear anything on that?

My aunt had a FEMA inspector down in Johnson Bayou the other day who told her she qualified for a FEMA trailer for a year. I assume she registered for FEMA aid, then they sent out the inspector.
FEMA and the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) announced today that two Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are opening on Thursday, Oct. 13. The recovery center in Cameron Parish will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily to accommodate a local curfew. The Calcasieu Parish center will open at 2 p.m. tomorrow and will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thirty-three centers are now open in Louisiana to serve the needs of the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. All centers are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week until further notice, except for Plaquemines Parish (open 8 a. m. to 6 p. m.) and Cameron Parish. The two locations are: Cameron Parish, Grand Lake Recreation Center, 125 Recreation Lane Grand Lake , La. 70607 Calcasieu Parish, Leadership Center, 1701 Ryan Street Lake Charles , La. 70601 |
