My sister lives in Graywood, we heard that houses in this area had been flattened? Anyone know anything?

We spoke with our Brother who stayed for the duration of Rita due to his work at the hospital. He lives off St Charles and went to look at the area. He had to park at Cormie's Grocery and hike the remainder of the way to his house - due to the hundreds of trees that are down. He said that it doesn't look as though there was flooding in the surrounding area.

A friend checked our house on Camellia Way by the 8th hole of the golf course and found no flooding or structural damage except two windows on the east side broken by flying timber from a collapsed home under construction.

I live behind the new fire station on corner of Necess Rd. and Big Lake Rd. I have two large pine trees in my back yard I fear are sticking out of my roof or worse flattened my house. If any one knows any thing about that area please reply. Also if anyone knows how to get the phone number for the new fire station (Fire Station # 8) please email me @ lyndafher@hotmail.com cause the fire men could literally look over a fence to see my house. Thanks for any information.

My parents live down Big Lake Road not too far from Cormie's grocery on Salene Road. If anyone has information on the conditions there, please email me at pbb7460@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Hi Keith...it's Kim Kreitz. Keith, my husband, had to stay during the hurricane because he was on call. He's made a few trips to Graywood and said there is very minimal damage to the homes. I will specifically ask him about yours when I talk to him tomorrow. Take care

Kim K - I have family that lives on Haymark Rd right across from the 16th tee, in a red colored (siding) home. They stayed through Rita and we are hoping they left the house for a shelter in town, but are uncertain. The sheriff's office is supposed to be checking the house, but we have heard nothing. There are 3 living there, two very elderly, ~90, and the third ~60. All three are in poor health. Any information anyone could provide would be appreciated, as this could be a life saving event. Thank you.

Hi Keith...your house does not have structural damage. Your roof is intact.
