Thank you for your site. My husband and I found Holly Beach accidentally many years ago. We were headed for Galveston, from Oklahoma and decided to NOT join the crowds. Followed the highway along the coast and found 'heaven'. A quiet camping town with friendly people, fantastic scenery and PEACE. A few years later we took our kids back. We made it down every couple of years until 2000. We had made plans last summer to come Spring of 2006...then Rita came. We watched in horror as the eye of the hurricane moved over 'our' lil town. We cried and prayed that you all would be safe and that HB would somehow survive. Our prayers were answered in that no one lost their lives..and, in a way Holly Beach HAS survived...in the lives and spirit of the ones that made her great, people like you. I've saved your website and one on Cameron Parish...the MINUTE there's a place to stay, we'll be back to our beloved Holly Beach :-)
