Hi to all you wonderful people in Lake Charles & surronding areas that Rita did all the awful damage to. I feel for all of you so much. I am originally from Lake Charles- I left L.C. in 1992 & live 1000 miles away W/my darling hubby. However, all my family live in L.C. & surrounding areas. We all PRAY for you all. My Parents house was damaged some (the roof & some windows). My concern is....I thought that everyone was in this together, meaning helping one another.Mom told me today that some people are charging old people $2000 to remove stuff from their yards. Come on, these old people DO NOT have that kind of money & they certainly aren't capable of doing the clean up of their yards themselves. Daddy is in Hospice Care & I think Y'all all know what that means & this is tearing me up,my heart is breaking-Daddy & I are very close. I was their for 2 months this summer helping them. I will be going back in a couple weeks. Does anyone know what the HOSPICE PHONE # IS for Lake Charles? I need to talk to Daddy's nurse. I had their # before Rita hit, but, I was told they are setting up a new office & they are very, very busy. I can believe they are.
Y'all take care. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Keep your heads up, GOD loves you & many others do also, including me. Sending HUGS to y'all. A GREAT BIG HUG always helps me. You are all in our PRAYERS daily.Have a BLESSED day.

Sincerely,
Char B. Wink

Thanks agian for your time & help. The Hospice I needed to get in touch with was Hospice Home Care & the # is (337)480-3000/ (337) 430-5498.I got this # by calling one of the one's you gave me.I talked to My Dad's Hospice Nurse this morning. She is a sweetheart. All of the Hospice Nurses & Staff have been so wonderful to my Family & I. GOD has given them all a very "Special" gift. I do care about & love people a lot but I could never be a Hospice Nurse or any kind of Nurse. I am too emotional.I'd have all the patients & everyone else crying most of the time. I know when I go to L.C. in a couple weeks I have to be strong & I am praying GOD gives me that strength He knows I need.
Again, thank you soooooo very much. Have a Blessed night/day.
Sending hugs to you & you take care.
