Help!!!! I don't know what to do. I was told by FEMA that they closed our application after we received the 2ooo because they said our house was a secondary and not a primary residence. I went to the recovery center and showed them proof and wrote a letter of appeal and all that bs and now it's two weeks later and it's all over a stupid typo that the person doing our app over the phone mistyped. Any other routes I can take? This has been since Sept. 27 and I don't know what else to do. I havent even had an inspector go to my house in Grand Chenier, we don't have anything there. we didn't even find any pieces of our house. What more proof do they need? HELPPPPP!

Hi there, sorry to hear of your problems. I have had problems with typos from day one after the storm. You will need to file an appeal, which can be done at the nearest FEMA center. Not sure where there is one in your area, but there is one for sure in Abbeville La, and I think one in Jennings. Once you file your appeal you need to request your case to be re-opened. Good luck!!

don't give up..keep going back to FEMA until you find one that will help you..keep appealing until they help you....NEVER give up..but always work with FEMA face to face.. You can't trust phone reps.. they're cold and heartless..Good Luck..

Great news so glad to hear that. I too have had a second Inspecter here last week after my second appeal for all of their errors and finally I will get help for my repairs. So you can rest assured you should be helped this time. Good luck to you and your family
