Nickie:

Yes, this is Angie Thibodeaux. I am about to check out the link you posted. Have you heard about your mom's house?

I just got off the phone with Patrick Booth. His parents received a call from Chris McCall who flew over Grand Chenier. Mrs. Mamie Richards house is still standing but from there to Arnold Jones' house, there is nothing left. St. Eugene is gutted and the Catholic Hall is gone. They couldn't even find it.

Any word on Immaculate Conception Church on the west end of Grand Chenier or the Old Miller house on the river? This is Mike McCall and I am trying to find out if my cousin Mona's house is up also my grandmothers home. Also any word on Lee Nunez, Lonnie Harper, the Brasseaux's, Vincent's. This is Audrey all over again....

Any more information will be greatly appreciated. My Aunt Emma is very worried about everyone as am I!

Mike

I have a flight leaving tomorrow afternoon arriving in Alex Wednesday afternoon 4:30 I will try and get down there as soon as I can, and get a report. I spoke with Malcolm Dale and the National guard would not allow him access to there homes in Sweetlake they were turned around.

Any news on Herbert and Craig?

Tony, I haven't heard from them yet. They went to Margret's house in Merryville, so I will post in other areas/boards to see if I can find anything out. If you hear anything, call me at 850-313-6782.

Thank you so much. I was able to see the graveyard, my old house, my grandmother's home, and other parts of where I grew up. It's destroyed of course, but not washed away! It just helps to see it.

I'm so sorry to hear that Julie. I'm sure my mom has nothing left. If houses that have been standing for years and years are gone, there's no way a trailer has survived.
