I left Moss Bluff before rita hit. A few days before the mandatory evac. lifted I left for college in California. I never saw home or said goodbye. I may be gone but my heart stayed home. It seems no one wants to tell me exactly how bad things are/or were in lake charles. I only wish I could have stayed to help. Am I alone in my apparent exile?

My Sis and dad live in Moss Bluff and there was alot of tree damage. A lot of trees fell on roofs, but not alot of wind damage. KPLCTV.com had alot of pics of LC and Moss Bluff. I'll find some more for you and post them here. I know it's got to be hard on you , but look at the bright side no one was killed. Thank God for that.

I have family in L.C., La. They say it looks like a war zone. I have seen photo's & heard from friends that it is really bad in L.C. I will find out in a couple of weeks, I will be going to L.C. My Family live in L.C. & surrounding areas. I thank GOD every day & night several times that no one was killed & that my parents home wasn't damaged to bad. They have to have a new roof put on & had a great big pine tree to break & fall on their driveway, thank GOD it wasn't on their home & they had lots of debris in their yard that other family members have been cleaning up. Dad's big buiding had a little damage. Mom & Dad aren't able to do any of the clean up. They have lots of health problems & Daddy is in Hospice Home Care.

I understand how you must feel, being so far away, I am 1000 miles away from L.C.,La. Just Pray for all the people there. GOD hears all of our prayers

I am not from Lake Charles but I live in Sulphur and from what I saw it is not as bad as some parts of L.C. Some people do have power, water and are living in their homes. If you could tell me where you want to know how something made out let me know and I will try and let you know. Deborah By the way if you are anybody knows about a lost irish terrior dog, his name is patches he has no tags, he has brown and white spots on him.
