Does anyone know how, or if, I can get in to Lake Charles for 20 minutes to pick up my pets that are locked in the house? Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Steve |

The information being given out at checkpoints is that Calcasieu Parish is closed indefinitely, and that you should call the Humane Society to perform an animal rescue.
Humane Society 800-486-2631 Calcasieu Parish Animal Control 439-8879 (David Marcantel) The Sheriffs office will also drive-by your property to check on it (Looters etc.), but will not call to report back to you its condition. CPSO 491-3715 |

Someone told me they went on 90 and then 14 like they were coming from Cameron... back roads to get to their home... then went back to where the power is on.
They are fine. I will forward this to her son Larry. |

disregard the: They are fine. I will forward this to her son Larry. It is on every message I send... not sure how to get rid of it.

Shouldn't say this because it is probably not legal, but everyone I have talked to in my circle of friends and family have just gone around the barricades off of I-10. The major intercestions are manned but the smaller ones and those out of the city are just barricades with plenty of room to go around. Once you are on the streets no one stops you. It is unfair not to let people in to check on their property and rescue their pets.
