has anyone received expedited assistance after either going to a DRC or from calling 721-3850? If so, how long before you received the money?

every time I post, a previous post always shows up. Please ignore "Has anyone received red cross assistance from Jennings yet?" Smiler

I filed with FEMA on 9/25 just 2 days after rita. Was sent to Small Business because we weren't in the disaster area yet {we are in Moss Bluff} So far I have spent 3 days at the DRC, called the local help line, called FEMA almost everyday since then. We have not been contacted in anyway other than the application for a loan and something that seems to be a blank consent form to check all background information on us. We haven't had an inspection, and definitely haven't gotten the $2000 but we do know of at least 4 families that got 2 or more checks for the $2000. We left 4 numbers with FEMA to get intouch with us so they can't say they even tried. All we have gotten is the run around with everyone even at the DRC I was told pretty much OH Well we can only send in your information again as an appeal. Also we sent in the receipt copies for the generator and chainsaw, it was posted as being received on 10/6 and we still haven't gotten repayment for those either. I think we have been forgotten because we handled the storm aftermath very well in Southwest Louisiana...no riots or murders...no breaking into Walmart to take plasma TVs and we all tried to help each other as much as possible so everyone could work thru this tragedy. I guess doing the right and honest thing is not on the top of the qualifications list for FEMA...LOL.
