Does anyone know anything about the Hwy. 69 area of Nederland, TX? This is located between Port Arthur and Beaumont near Jefferson County airport.

9:00 am Monday: I was able to get in touch with the Nederland Fire Dept. A fly over was done over the city and P.V. Estates. There are trees uprooted all over. The mobile homes appear to have minimal damage. There is no water, electricity, or sewer service. There is no way to get gas, food, ice, etc. The main power lines from the Entergy Plant are in the river. Port Neches will have to rebuild their water plant. Nederland will have to supply Nederland and Port Neches with water until this is accomplished. There is practically no flooding. Two homes in Nederland caught fire. The firemen went in to make sure no one was home and then watched them burn. With no water to put them out, it was very hard on the firemen to not be able to help.
