I just thought that I would share a story with everyone. My husband and I were expecting our little girl during the time that we had to evacuate from the hurricane. We sat in 18 hours of traffic to get out of the Beaumont area. I was 9 months pregnant and ready to deliver at anytime. The temperature was very hot and sitting in the traffic I thought GOD please don't let me go into labor at this time. We made it to our destination at 3 am and I was very happy to see a bed and be able to sleep. I ended up delivering 3 weeks later. My husband was called back to work just 3 days after the hurricane hit so I stayed with his mom so that I would be able to seek medical attention if needed. I was very greatful for all of the citizens in the town Caldwell,Texas just outside of Bryan, Texas. They asked if there was anything that they could do to help and even gave things to me that I would need later on. I was overwhelmed with the generousity of others and I will never forget that. The sad part of the whole hurricane was that a tree landed on our house in Vidor and we lost all 3 of the kids room's but we were fortunate to be able to find another house. My little girl is a very healthy baby and she weighed 7 lbs. 6oz. born and now at 2 months weighs 13 1/2 lbs. If anyone would like to see a picture please just ask. THANK YOU GOD FOR OUR BLESSED FAMILY AND FRIENDS
